Maintenance work on the stoney cloud from the 11th to the 12th of June 2025
In the night from Wednesday, the 11th of June 2025, to Thursday, the 12th of June 2025, between 23:00 and 02:00, we will be doing maintenance work on our switching infrastructure to expand our OpenStack based stoney cloud to additional racks. We are also integrating the new IP ranges into the cloud.
The expansion of the switching infrastructure is a routine task that has no impact on operations in the normal course of events.
During the introduction of the new IP ranges, there will be two short interruptions of the internet connection. This affects all VMs and all services running on our platform. The interruptions are expected to take 1 to 5 seconds.

Scope of Services
Based on the open source software Jitsi stoney meet offers you a secure and confidential video conferencing solution, which is aimed at small and medium-sized companies, educational institutions, public administrations, associations and private individuals.
As a stoney meet customer, you receive a Jitsi instance on your own virtual machine. All conference participants connect to the server via web browser or app. Thereby the transmission of the data is encrypted. Each stoney meet session can be additionally protected against unauthorised access with a password.
The sessions in stoney meet can be moderated. It is possible to mute all or individual participants or even exclude them from the ongoing session. The video quality can be individually adjusted and the number of simultaneously active video streams can be limited. Thus the load on the end devices as well as their bandwidth can be influenced.
Further highlights of the video conferencing solution include individual language settings, screen or individual window sharing, virtual hand raising and sending chat messages.
The stoney meet server runs under your own domain and the appearance can be adapted to your wishes.
